Have a page where owners can put guys that are available on 1 place. Alot easier then asking if people want a certain guy or asking owners if someone is available.
Instead go to page and if u see someone u like, then PM the owner and ask what they want for him

Make it so that players can be thrown out trying to go from 1st to 3rd on a single, from 2nd to Home on a Single, and from 1st to Home on a Double. Also, make it so batters are occassionally thrown out trying to stretch a single into a double, a double into a triple, or a triple into a home run.
Allow managers to set preferences on how aggressive they want to be in these situations, depending on runner speed, game situation, and outfielder arm (similar to basestealing prefs).

Any chance a situational bunting feature could be added to the game? As it is only pitchers can bunt. But there are times when having a position player being able to bunt would make sense.
I'm not sure what the options would/should be but the inning, the score and the batter's bunting rating would seem like logical filters, at a minimum.
And adding something like this would add at least some value to the bunting rating each position player has (which I believe is a useless field at this time).

When you log into the game site, you shouldn't have to log in again with the Forums. And vice versa.

In addition to the all time leaders page-add in the ability to calculate the all time leaders for certain teams based only on their playing time with that team.

I think there should be a list that shows playoff teams and World Series winners listed by years. Right now, if you were to make a list of WS winners in your league, it would take you some time, as you would have to bring up playoff stats and add games to see who won, and then write down the winner, then go to next year and do the same. Probably after about 30 minute you could have a list of World Series winners for your league.

Add another attribute for batters called Plate Discipline or Eye. This would completely govern how many walks a player got from a batter's perspective. It would also be the main factor for strikeouts, along with contact, maybe at a 70/30 ratio.
This might be an option for leagues to turn on/off. And old players simply would not have this attribute. If Abe encounters a player without this attribute, he would use the old formula for determining batter outcomes.

We already have the blended "League Leaders" for each season, single season and career but I'd like to see these for each "League", at least by year and single season, so we can see American League HR leaders for each year.
This info should also be highlighted on the player card.

I've had a few guys on my team that have been terrible vs Righty bats but almost un-hitable vs Lefties. This would make the bullpen option a little more realistic. With the option of bringing in "Lefty Specialists" you could have them face after _____ innings in the game and they can stay against Righty's if their C/R is lower than ___/___.

Add some manager prefs to pitch around or intentionally walk certain batters. Maybe something like this:
In the _____ Inning or later, if the (Tieing/Winning) run is in scoring position and first base is open, (Pitch Around|Intentionally Walk|Pitch Normally) to the batter if he is (Much Better, Somewhat Better, At All Better) than the hitter On Deck.

This may be a rare thing but it's happened to my teams a few times recently and the outcome was bad (blown save).
Situation - closer comes in to the game in the top of the 8th inning and "holds" the lead, then bats in the bottom of the inning and is pinch hit for. Obviously going into the 9th the closer is now out of the game and is replaced with (most likely) a lesser relief pitcher.
Could we add a preference that states something to the effect that if your closer has come into the game due to a save situation and comes to bat while a save situation is still in place to let him hit (thus, allowing him to continue to pitch and (hopefully) get the save.

After the 81st game of the season, an all star game should be played. The game would not have an effect on rest or injuries.
|
|
|
ABE doesn't look at the age of the players in question, just the fact that the pinch hitter is younger than the player being replaced. We should be able to control the ages of players ABE looks at to get younger players at-bats.
|
|
|
When your team is out of position players due to injury or rest, the system will put a pitcher in the field to fill out the lineup. When this happens, the boxscore incorrectly lists the pitcher in the pitcher section of the boxscore.

I just had a guy taken out of the game for walking a guy when he was 5 outs away from a no-hitter, with a 4-0 lead. As far as I can tell there is no manager pref to prevent this, only to prevent the closer from replacing him if it's the 9th inning.

Add another attribute for Pitchers called Stuff or Movement. Control would govern mostly walks and a bit of effectiveness. Velocity would govern strikeouts and effectiveness. Stuff would only govern effectiveness.

As far as I know, as it stands now, the current system considers 200 1/3 IP for an OS25 pitcher the same as riding him for 265IP, with a set value for health points lost. This would make there be alot of difference, with 203IP only costing that pitcher maybe 1 or 2 health points, where as 250 IP would cost something between 15 and 25 health points (all arbitrarty numbers).
Again, not my idea, this came up in one of the older podcasts, but, I felt it should be on here.
EDIT: I'm changing my mind on the formula here. 50+(endurance*2)=maximum IP before health decrease. It adds more value to guys with high endurance ratings - and makes owners think twice about putting young starters with high endurance in the 'pen. The guy could be good for 226IP without a health deduction.

Create a new page that shows how a team compares to the rest of the league among various categories, such as Offensive Ratings, Defensive Ratings, Rotation, Bullpen, Minor League System.
|
|
|
Have a page where you can view the top 5 or 10 leaders in each category in each league. Like the top 5 in HR, BA, RBI, Steals etc and Wins, ERA, K's, WHIP etc. It would be like the page in the papers where they show all the league leaders in one spot. And have it split for the NL/AL I know we have the league leaders section but it is awkard to use and takes too many clicks and its not all in one place. Something like this minus phots; http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/stats

There would be 3 changes here.
1) Owners who sign up would immediately be placed in the league somehow and get access to the League. They would not have access to the team. Basically, they can browse the league instead of being stuck in the Expansion Team Leagues. 2) New owners would be able to set Amateur Draft preferences immediately.
3) Once a team is placed up for a Replacement, the system would lock the old owner from renewing. This would prevent the situation where someone changes their mind, doesn't notify Admin, and then we have to unravel the situation.

|
Implement a change whereas a manager can choose to rest a player while on the 4th (yellow) bar. The player would be available to 'pinch-hit', but he would be fully rested for the next game. In contrast to having to completely miss a game while on red. This may be a bit more realistic for very good hitters, who sometimes pinch-hit on their rest days......

Currently, the game only allows runners to tag up on a fly ball when they're trying to score from third. It shouldn't be that complicated to allow runners to move from second to third when there is a long fly ball to right or center. I've posted this idea before and it had a fair amount of support, but it was closed because the moderator says that it was a duplicate of this idea below.

These are clearly separate ideas.

One of the best parts of SimD is the draft. And while we each probably have our own tweaks and ways of sorting and setting the draft, the biggest thing I see missing is the ability to easily export the draft pool to Excel. Doing so would allow owners to perform their own work (predictions, future skills, etc...) and get their draft list ready. Think of all those crazy fantasy football cheat sheets. :D

Currently on the trade desk, after a trade is no longer active, you can save the trades that you have sent out to other teams however you can't see the trades that have come in to you. It would be nice to have the ability to see trades that have been sent TO you after they're not active as well as those you've sent out.

How about allowing improves to be run for major league players at the mid-point of the season (rather than just running improves in the offseason). The same thing could be done for all free agents. This would seem to me to be a bit more like the real thing, where younger players develop during the year, not just in the offseason.
